Last year, King Monada’s dance hit Malwedhe proved to be very popular for the song, but also due to the dance craze it inspired.

Countless videos were shared on social media, showing how South Africans were fainting while the song played in the background.

Now, it seems Limpopo-born artist Makhadzi has inspired a dance craze of her own, thanks to her recent hit song called Matorokisi.




The song means train coaches and the public hasn’t waited for an invitation to perform different variations of the train element in the dance.

The Citizen reported that the dance move was inspired by the traditional Venda dance domba – as done by young women on the cusp of adulthood.

Makhadzi, whose real name is Ndivhudzannyi Ralivhona, has already shared numerous videos of others performing the Matorokisi challenge via her Instagram account.
